Description
The TYPHON skid steer trench filler attachment is your solution for swift and efficient trench backfilling. Specifically designed for filling in trenches or ditches, this attachment streamlines the process, saving time and reducing the need for manual labor on construction and landscaping projects.
Skid Steer Loader Attachment Trench Filler Key Features:
Adjustable Design:
The attachment features a bucket with a flat bottom and a curved back, offering an adjustable width to match the trench’s specifications. This design ensures adaptability to various trench sizes, enhancing versatility in your backfilling operations.
Effortless Operation:
Operating the trench filler attachment is straightforward. Position the skid steer loader at one end of the trench, lower the bucket into the trench, and drive the loader forward. The bucket scoops up dirt and debris, depositing it on top of the previous scoop, gradually filling in the trench as the loader advances.
Time-Saving and Labor-Reducing:
The automated process of the trench filler attachment significantly reduces the need for manual labor. It efficiently fills in trenches, contributing to time savings and increased productivity on construction and landscaping sites.
Usage Instructions:
-
Position the skid steer loader at the starting point of the trench.
-
Lower the bucket into the trench.
-
Drive the loader forward, allowing the bucket to scoop up and deposit material into the trench.
-
Repeat the process until the entire length of the trench is filled in.

How Your Machine Is Delivered
Mini excavators, mini skid steers, and other machines move by LTL / flatbed freight carrier because of their size and weight. Here is what to expect:
- Curbside delivery with a liftgate lowers your machine safely to ground level at your address.
- The carrier calls ahead to schedule a delivery appointment — you will not be caught off guard.
- Someone 18 or older must be present to sign for the shipment.
- Please have a firm, reasonably level spot with clear truck access for the unload.
Attachments & Smaller Items
Buckets, augers, and other attachments or small parts may ship separately via standard ground rather than freight, and can arrive on a different day than your machine.
Inspect Before You Sign
Always inspect your delivery before signing. Walk around the machine and check for any freight damage while the driver is still there.
If you see anything, note it on the delivery receipt / Bill of Lading (BOL), take clear photos, and report it to us within 48 hours. Documenting damage at delivery protects your claim and lets us make it right quickly.
Alaska, Hawaii & Remote Locations
Shipments to Alaska and Hawaii, as well as remote or limited-access sites, are arranged on a per-order basis — please contact us for a freight quote before ordering. We cannot ship machines to PO boxes.

The filler itself is fine and it does move dirt back into a trench like it should. My complaint is the freight — carrier missed two delivery windows and I burned a rental day on my machine waiting. Support did make it right eventually but replies took a few days each. Product 4 stars, logistics 2.

Straightforward attachment that saved my back. Filled a 200 ft gas line trench without touching a shovel.
Ted Brannon –
No moving parts, thick steel, does exactly what the picture shows. Backfilled a french drain trench around the whole house in one morning.
Rosa Delgado –
Our fencing crew uses it after every post-and-line trench job now. Cuts cleanup time in half easy.
Phil Grady (verified owner) –
Ran electric to my barn, 300 feet of trench, backfilled in two passes each direction. Compacted nicely behind it too. Money well spent here in Kansas.
Aaron Michalek –
Works great pushing spoil back in — just note it’s heavier than the listing made it sound, took two of us to get it off the pallet and onto the plate the first time. Once it’s on the machine that weight is actually a plus. Would buy again.
Denise W. (verified owner) –
Simple tool that does one job really well. Backfilled our septic line trench without disturbing the yard on either side much at all.
Curt Hollman (verified owner) –
Filled in an old irrigation trench and a couple of stump holes the same afternoon. Freight arrived faster than quoted, strapped down nice on the pallet. No complaints at all.
Lori Pemberton –
We put in drain tile on the farm every fall and this trench filler has made it a one-person job. Fits the quick attach on our TYPHON perfect and it’s heavier built than I expected for $907.
Nate R. (verified owner) –
Buried conduit runs all over a new build site with it. Fast, simple, nothing to break.
Jerry Stallings (verified owner) –
Backfilled 400 feet of water line trench in about an hour with this thing. Used to do it in a dozen passes with a bucket, spilling half of it. The angled design pushes the spoil right back in the ditch clean.
